At CTV we believe that God speaks to us through the Bible. We hear from God better when we read and interact with his written word together. Below you will find the Bible reading for each week day, along with some initial comments from one of our facilitators. May God meet and shape us through this conversation! My problem is sin and God is the answer. Psalms 51 is a famous confession, David the wayward king, not content with all God had given him, takes another man's wife and kills to cover it up.
A sin against people, yes. But comparatively much more about God. So he confesses to God. And God is the answer. God will forgive. God will save him from guilt. God will change his heart--that's change him from the inside out.
David, not oppressed by the nonsense that he has to forgive himself, sees his sin as mainly a God thing and then takes it to God. He doesn't even look to himself for the power to change. This is all about God.
How is his example a source of relief and one you can follow?
