At CTV we believe that God speaks to us through the Bible. We hear from God better when we read and interact with his written word together. Below you will find the Bible reading for each week day, along with some initial comments from one of our facilitators. May God meet and shape us through this conversation! Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done...we pray this regularly, but when you read 2 Peter 3 it really sinks in what we are asking for when we say these words. Verse 10 is particularly scary to me.
Will I be found "spotless and blameless" the day God comes to judge? What does Peter mean when he says "make every effort" to be found this way? Surely my own efforts will not get me there. I know I will only be seen this way by God, or be made righteous, through my faith in Jesus. I believe that is the only effort I can make that will save me. Believing that, alleviates the fear I feel when reading about God's day of judgement.
